What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxOrlando, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxOrlando event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
What is TEDxOrlando?
Orlando is a world-class city where creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship are proud traditions.
Ideas have life and vitality here, and this liveliness is at the core of TEDxOrlando, an official TEDx licensee since 2010.
TEDxOrlando is about the exchange of meaningful ideas and deep discussion, not selling. Opportunities do sometimes result from contacts made at our meetings and we encourage that. However, we ask that you refrain from using TEDxOrlando primarily as a platform for promoting yourself, your personal political or religious views, your business or your organization.
